Operations Clerk

Assist the Operations department by providing clerical and administrative support


  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Operations department
  • Update and input route information into the computer system. Route information may include driver time sheets, downtime, productivity, red phone items or other data
  • Assist Dispatchers by responding to customer and driver complaints and inquiries
  • Maintain and process operations information, such as vehicle maintenance, accounting and route sheets
  • Track all CDL files i.e. med card expirations and CDL expirations
  • Maintain evening Driver Check-in process
  • Distribute, collect and review route sheets for proper billing and productivity reports
  • Assist in generating monthly and ad hoc reports
  • May also assist other departments including customer service
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned


  • Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard, mouse and other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation
  • Knowledge in routing and dispatching
  • Ability to organize various office systems


Education: High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent work experience

Years of Experience: None

Certifications: None


  • Usual office equipment including calculator, telephone, fax, computer and copier
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Company information systems applications


  • Usual office environment


  • Ability to organize various office systems through adjusting, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending or folding for the purpose or proper records development and/or management
  • Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard or mouse or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation.
  • Possess speaking skills and hearing ability to interact with customers on the telephone
