POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Clerk is responsible for supporting the maintenance shop, maintenance team and maintenance manager with required administrative duties.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

o Maintain inventory records and inventory in Dossier
o Process invoices for payment
o Create purchase orders (P.O's) and receipts in PeopleSoft
o Perform and coordinator daily inventory management procedures and make adjustments as necessary
o Assist with month-end financial close
o Filing; other administrative duties as assigned by management.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

o Strong written and oral communication skills
o Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Applications
o Strong Organizational skills
o Ability to work independently
o Basic knowledge of accounting & mathematics
o Attention to detail for accuracy
o Strong customer service skills

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent work experience;
Years of Experience: Minimum of one year of accounts payable (invoice coding and processing) experience; automotive or transportation industry preferred. Prior knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems is desired. Intermediate Excel knowledge and experience.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED:

o Usual office equipment including computer, calculator, telephone, fax, and copier
o Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
o Various business information systems
o Dossier and PeopleSoft business software

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

o Typical office environment
o Adequate lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

o No heavy lifting
o Sitting at a desk for long periods of time
o Ability to organize various office systems through adjusting, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending or folding for the purpose of proper records development and/or management
o Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard or mouse or other related equipment throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation
